They Laughed When I Said They’ll Never Lose The Lottery

August 31, 2010 :: Posted by - admin :: Category - Lotteries

A month or so back, I wrote something here that got a lot of interest. And it was also a bit controversial.It was in answer to an email that basically said: ”I’ve spent this month, and only got back. So I’ve lost .” And I replied that nobody actually loses when they play lotto.And I went on to say that playing the lottery is different because it’s like buying a ticket to a sports game.

What does it mean when your firewall says this?

August 31, 2010 :: Posted by - admin :: Category - Blackjack

Question by jen: What does it mean when your firewall says this?
A computer at IP Address 44.254.194.108 has attempted an unsolicited connection to UDP port 1025 on your computer.
UDP port 1025 is commonly used by the “network blackjack” service or program. The “Black Jack” port is used by many services — it is the first high port available on your system.

Best answer:

Answer by Vincent
It means that the person at the IP Address mentioned is attempting to use a Back Door program to gain access through UPD Port 1025 to establish control over your computer using Black Jack services. Best to block attempt then restrict ip address from any further attempts easy to do with Nortons Internet Security.

what are pro’s/con’s of purchasing as “unlocked” cell phone vs a phone through carrier ?

August 31, 2010 :: Posted by - admin :: Category - Blackjack

Question by ayersmark@rocketmail.com: what are pro’s/con’s of purchasing as “unlocked” cell phone vs a phone through carrier ?
i currently have a samsung “Blackjack” (2 yrs old) through at+t and am looking to purchase an HTC “Fuze” (at+t version of touch pro) and i don’t know the advantages of purchasing “unlocked” HTC and maybe upgrade to a “Touch Diamond” which is not offered by at+t. My understanding is that an “unlocked” phone can be used by taking sim card out of current phone (recognized blackjack at+t) and switch into an unlocked phone and it will function just the same. (???) 1 reason for a change of cell phone is the fact that i want a new cell phone. i have also been recently having trouble with reception and i was told that the problem could be caused by an older sim card. Again, i don’t know how true that may be but if it is true, is it possible to have all information from old phone to new (old sim to new sim). And, i don’t know how to tell what is actually on the old card… for example: i can’t tell if all my “contacts” are actually on the sim card and which ones may not be on it. Is there 1 “master” button to get everything put on that sim card. i also have a mini sd card with a lot of digital stuff on it and would that card be compatible with the new phone? This is a lot to ask but i cannot get any of these yahoo’s that want to sell me a phone to give me the reassurrance that some or all of this may be possible. They just say “yes” to everything and i really don’t feel confident with any that i have encountered lately. I am trying to do as much research as i can but there are too many things that i don’t know and i don’t want to throw $$$$ out the window….the days of spending money as if i had a lot of it, have certainly come and gone. Any help from anyone out there would be greatly appreciated!! Thanks

Wow, we have a lot to cover:

Unlocked phones gives you the freedom of switching mostly to phones that your carrier (AT&T) doesn’t carry. Once a phone is unlocked, it will take any simcard, so you can buy other phones (such as the Diamond) and not be tied down with the option of phones only AT&T give you. Also having an unlocked phone, you can travel abroad and use a local carrier’s simcard for cheaper rates.

The problem with your Blackjack can easily be rectified, just call or pop into an AT&T [corporate] store and say your sim card is acting up. They will ask for your number and identification, and you should be up and running in less than 10 minutes.

I currently have a Fuze running on Windows Mobile 6.1, and I think the Blackjack runs on 6.0, but Try going to Contacts>Menu>sim manager to see what numbers are all saved to the sim. If none are there, you can go back into your contact list, press menu, and select all to move to the simcard if you wish.

Most new mid-end and high-end phones includes a MICROSD slot, not Mini SD. The HTC Diamond doesn’t have a MicroSD slot, but the Fuze does.

I say go for the Fuze directly through AT&T, which is 9 after a mail-in rebate. You can also insure the Fuze for an additional per month on your monthly bill. An unlocked Diamond would most likely cost 0 or more. The Fuze is basically a HTC Diamond with a [GREAT!!] slide-out keyboard and with AT&T logo on it.

Betfair Review – Not Just A Sports Book

August 31, 2010 :: Posted by - David Patron :: Category - Poker

Betfair is well known to sports bettors but it also offers a robust poker environment. It is one of the top sports books in the world due to its infrastructure which also lends itself very well to a dependable and pleasant poker arena. Professionals the likes of Annette “Annette_15 Obrested, one of the top women tournament poker players in the world, along with Sorel “imper1um” Mizzi and Peter Jepson add substance to the site and vouches for its ability to draw top talent. Betfair is regarded highly for their thorough understanding of the minute details of online gambling and this knowledge has flowed very well into their poker software.

Betfair is the world’s foremost online gambling community and operates with proprietary software making all of its poker products and platforms dependable and smooth running. The company was established in 1999-2000 by Andrew Black and Edward Wray and has ever since out to develop one of the most cutting edge betting technologies in the industry. With its proprietary and robust software which includes some sweet multi-table media, and custom support, it is a fine complement to their cash game and tournament play.

Betfair partners with the World Series of Poker Europe so you can be sure it is serious about its tournament poker. The site offers free rolls and tournaments every day. Betfair is notorious for its aggressive players and loose funds from its sports book so there is money to be made here. Because it keeps European hours, non-Europeans will sometimes encounter off-hours where there will be limited games and players, but the avid poker player will always discover action at Betfair and be treated very nicely as well.

As pointed out earlier, Betfair is foremost a sports book so the poker can be rather soft. The good news for poker players though, is that sports bettors are true risk takers, no calculations required, so they make the perfect poker opponents.

The ever present bonus programs are a terrific advantage of Betfair poker. The most popular of which are Bankroll Booster, Poker points, and loads of tournament free rolls and specials. With a bias toward free roll players and drawing in those who seek tournament value, Betfair has some great tournament promotions going every day. Poker points can be swapped for many different items and occasionally can be traded for discounts in the sports book. No matter where you are on the site, the top notch support team is always around.

Players stay with Betfair because of its 24/7 support among many other features. Support can be had by email and phone and all issues are resolved promptly to the visitors satisfaction. The banking system offers many withdrawal options and boasts The Royal Bank of Scotland as its partner. There is no reason to feel unsafe on this site. Betfair can deal successfully with any gambling related issue whether technical or not because of its thorough understanding of both it’s software and the games offered on the site. However, the majority of players will find the application extremely easy to maneuver around and glitch-free.

Betfair is one of the top twenty online company’s in the world and has won several business awards including the coveted Queens Award for Enterprise making it the first choice of online poker players and gamblers of every persuasion. If you haven’t discovered this site yet, you are missing a great online experience.

Why Live Roulette TV Can Be Better Than Actual Physical Roulette Games

Why Live Roulette TV Can Be Better Than Actual Physical Roulette Games

Without a doubt, live roulette TV is much better than the computer-simulated roulette games offered by online casinos. It’s not even a competition: obviously, live roulette TV is a more suitable venue for the popular wheel game. After all, live roulette TV not only provides viewers and gamers with the actual feel of the casino game, it also broadcasts the games and the results in real-time. With online roulette games, the games are computerized, much like a video game rather than an actual casino game. What should be spontaneous because mechanical and bland in online casinos. Games in live roulette TV eliminates this hindrance of medium by broadcasting the games as it happens, giving the same feel of the casino game even if the players are not in the casino itself.

Of course, there are those who would still prefer actual casino roulette games. But while proximity is a great way to further enjoy the roulette experience, live roulette TV offers a number of features and benefit that makes it better than the actual casino roulette game.

Distance is the first and most obvious benefit of live roulette TV that actual casinos cannot provide. Roulette players no longer need to get out of their house to enjoy the game, since they can play it simply by watching the games online or on their television. This is a benefit that online casino provides too, except the more traditional online casinos without real-tine roulette games are not the best place to play the wheel game. Many people disregard this benefit, saying it is very minor and unnecessary. But nothing having to go to casino to play roulette is a great benefit, especially for those who live in places where there are no near casinos and other gaming entertainment. Playing the game through live roulette TV is practical and convenient.

A more promising feature of live roulette TV is the chance to play using free credits. This means players can participate without having to spend actual money (although this usually requires buying game credits first). While veteran roulette players may see this benefit as irrelevant and useless, greenhorn roulette players will see that this is a very important feature in live roulette TV. For one, beginners can test their mettle in before actually joining the game. There are number of materials and instruction manuals about roulette, but the best way to learn the game is by actually playing it. Therefore, live roulette TV is the best venue for beginners since they can play the game without losing anything.

In connection with the previous items, live roulette TV allows players to participate in a roulette game without fear or hesitation and without external factors. Many players, especially the new ones, are easily influenced by the players around. Because of this, they cannot concentrate on their game, and their chances of winning become slimmer. Furthermore, while not exactly a competitive game, the atmosphere in an actual casino can be stiffening. With live roulette TV, players can join the game and play it in an environment they are most comfortable in.

Question by dodie: Does anyone reallly care about celebraties playing “Poker” on game show network?
This question isn’t important, I know,but I’m wondering why and who cares about watching the so called ” celebrities” playing Poker? They have millions of dollars I’d say and they probably pay for the tv time to be seen. Television sure has changed. Most game shows are so stupid or sexually promoted and doesn’t even interest most people. Well, it’s true–Money Talks—Right?

Variants Of Omaha Poker

August 31, 2010 :: Posted by - admin :: Category - Poker

Variants Of Omaha Poker

Are you looking for a fast-paced and entertaining game of poker, why not try your hand at a game of Omaha poker. Omaha is a variation derived from popular Texas Holdem poker. Though there are some variations in the rules of both the games, but fun and excitement are not compromised. To add to the variety, Omaha Poker has many variants which make it all more interesting and popular.

This article takes a look at Omaha poker and its many variants and briefly reflects on to what each variant has to offer.

Omaha (Hi): For this variant of Omaha poker rules are almost same as Texas Hold’em with a few differences. Unlike Texas Holdem poker, a player starts with 4 hole cards in Omaha as against 2 in Texas holdem poker. To make your hand you have to make use two of these cards along with the chosen cards from the board (referred to as ‘community cards’).  You may use no more and no less. Apart from this, the same rules apply as Texas Holdem Pot or Limit.

Omaha Hi/Lo: As in Omaha Hi the player starts with 4 hole cards and similarly the player can only use 2 of them. But in Omaha Hi Lo the big difference is that you can have a high and a low winner in each hand. The player with the “high hand” wins the high (hand rankings according to Texas Hold’em) and the player with nothing “low hand” wins the low. The pot is split evenly between the High hand and low hand. In certain cases when there is no low winner the high hand takes all.

When played competitively, Omaha poker is highly entertaining and offers Texas Hold’em fans the chance to put their poker skills to the test in a slightly different environment. It can also be just as lucrative as Texas Hold’em, especially if you play Omaha online at internet poker tournaments.

With the advances in technology, gaming and awareness, all forms of Omaha Poker are becoming more and more popular which can be seen from the increasing online poker-rooms. Most of these websites have all the variations of the game available whether it is Pot Limit Omaha, Pot Limit Omaha Hi-Lo, Omaha Tournaments and fixed limit variations of the same games. But the point here is how to decide which website best suits your style of play.

The following points can be considered while looking for online poker play. Though many websites offer several variations of Omaha Poker, but it is important that you check whether the game you are looking to play and buy in level available to you.  Also as you will be playing online, the software used for play and the graphic user interface should be user friendly. The other thing that differentiates good software from the others in online poke, is the amount of disk space it uses on your computer.  Before registering for any website always look for the bonuses that are given on signups along with other incentives.  The other thing that can be looked at is the trust and popularity of website. Always seek people’s reviews, read online forums and news, which will give you enough idea on brand image of the website.

WWE having big things planned for “Husky” Harris?

August 30, 2010 :: Posted by - admin :: Category - Blackjack

Question by Dolph You Bastard :D : WWE having big things planned for “Husky” Harris?
The son of I.R.S and the grandson of “Blackjack” Mulligan, and the nephew of Barry and Kendall Windham, is expected to get a push after NXT because he is high on management and WWE officials really like the guy and they think he is the “stand-out” of all the NXT2 rookies, to me that sounds like the wanna push him to the top like at a Sheamus/Wade Barrett level. He does have the in-ring ablitity, the mic skills, and he has is own charisma, but what do you think of “Husky” Harris, the son of the I.R.S man?

What are your opinions of “Husky” Harris (Windham Rotunda)? Do you think he could be world champion material and lead us into a new generation of stars into a new era of wrestling and bypass Mike “I.R.S” and Mulligan, and quite possibly Barry Windham? (he was apart of the 4-horsemen if you dont remember)
I think that if he went with how his uncle Mulligan went like he could have taken the name “Blackjack” Harris or something lmao

Answer by ♥♥♥RKO♥♥♥
I would -love- to see him propelled to great heights, not just because of his pedigree, but because he does have potential. However, why he was saddled with such a horrible, stupid ring name when everyone knows who he really is..that needs to get fixed. Also, he looks like he hasn’t seen the inside of a gym since about 2003, so he needs to tone it up. I’m honestly surprised that WWE has that big of plans as you claim since right now he doesn’t have the “look” that they generally want to go hand-in-hand with the talent.

I could see him as a solid mid-carder/bottom of the top card. IC champ, sure. Maybe a brief stint as WHC, but not anytime soon. I see him as a workhorse, and possibly one of the guys who will go down as underrated but dependable.
