sirrisreview: An ace should appear every 13 cards and this is how we decide the ratio of aces.
February 9th, 2010 at 2:55 pm
when I side count the aces I read it like a ratio number of aces: count is this a good idea

nephilas1. I first tried card counting in the 80′s using the hi-lo count pitched by evil sites like Blackjackinfo. I practiced 100′s of thousands of hands at home while watching tv and documented my losses from hi-lo. I used a single deck and experimented with count in the video and documented positive results. In the 90′s, I used what I call the JSTAT count and dominated Reno and Lake Tahoe. As a craps dealer in the late 70′s, the casino environment didn’t bother me at all.

can you tell us how you got real good at card counting?? how did you practice ?? is there any specific way that you practice for your count?? and how long have you been practicing in order to “multitask” like talking/acting !counting! at the tables.
February 9th, 2010 at 3:44 pm
nephilas1: I go to casinos about 3 times month and use the count in the video. I don’t get nervous counting at the tables because of my 34 years of casino play. In the 90′s, I played hours on end until I was barred at New York-New York in Las Vegas and placed in a database with other counters. I won a lot more then but now play under the radar with less than a hour’s of action winding up a winner most of the time in the hundreds.

Few questions.
Do you get nervous when counting at the tables?
How often you go play at the casinos? if yes what is your average in one night ?

nephilas1. My camera man + computer genius is needed to upload the video on this page. He is currently attending school and won’t be free until Easter break. You could also read my San Francisco Blackjack Examiner columns linked on the main page here to read “the difference in power”
February 9th, 2010 at 5:05 pm
?!!?!??! thats like 3 long months. come on it should be easy for a pro to show “the difference in power” plus its the weekend
February 9th, 2010 at 5:35 pm
nephillas.Probably will release the next video in April during Easter Break. Probably will compare high-low with the count in the video and show the difference in power.
February 9th, 2010 at 5:50 pm
when are you going to release the next video ?
February 9th, 2010 at 6:23 pm
Go to blackjackinfo if you desire to be scammed by the weasels there. Get conned into using hi-lo and paying $500for software from a corrupt programmer who couldn’t care less if you lost your home or family. Blackjackinfo gives advice how to cheat by recommending peeking at dealers hole cards. JSTAT says to them, FU*K YOU for not allowing him to expose the truth of blackjack on their scam board! My next video will expose the card counting myths these hustlers thrive on.
February 9th, 2010 at 6:52 pm
you should make another video of you counting
February 9th, 2010 at 6:57 pm
I will start learning the JSTATII technique, since it’s the one you use and seems to be working pretty well in your video! Thx a lot for the advice!
February 9th, 2010 at 7:14 pm
freaklebindeed.I use JSTATII at 6 deck and my maximium bet is with at least a true count of +4 because insurance is taken then. Hi-Opt 2 is good if you use the side counts and the betting is close to my count in the video.
February 9th, 2010 at 7:50 pm
You a very humble to show us your tricks for free, simply to help us, thank you! I am starting my path at counting cards and you have convinced me to not use Hi-Lo. On a double deck I will surely use your technique. However, what kind of technique do you recommend for a 6 deck? In your other video(with the music “A lil more satisfaction from Elvis”) are you using the Jstatii technique on a 6 deck? And last question, I am interested to learn the Hi-Opt II (Hi-Opt 2) for a 6 deck, your opinion plz:)
February 9th, 2010 at 8:37 pm
nephilas1. My count is stronger at double deck because we will get more blackjacks.
February 9th, 2010 at 9:15 pm
is your count stronger for 6-8 decks ? or double deck?
February 9th, 2010 at 9:31 pm
nephilas1. Ken Uston’s book “Million Dollar Blackjack” that contains his APC is recommended.
February 9th, 2010 at 9:39 pm
what are your thought about the “uston advanced point count” ? is it good bad ?
to complicated ? not worth it ?
February 9th, 2010 at 9:50 pm
nephilas1. 6-8 decks are dealt face up, therefore it doesn’t matter where you sit at the table.
February 9th, 2010 at 9:52 pm
thank you . how about when playing versus 6-8 decks instead of double deck?
February 9th, 2010 at 10:27 pm
nephilas 1. Sitting in the middle, as in the video, is the best position to count cards at double deck.. You are able to “peek” at others cards during insurance decisions and borderline calls like 16v10.
February 9th, 2010 at 10:38 pm
what would be the best position to count cards at the real tables?
February 9th, 2010 at 10:54 pm
1099residentevil. 2-9 are +1 while10 and jack-king are -2. Aces are side counted.
February 9th, 2010 at 11:25 pm
so are you saying 2-9 are +1 and 10 is -2 and jack-king= -1 and aces are nothing? comment back. and are you completly sure about this? is it a stronger method?
