Social manipulation is a way of manipulating others behavior by using the fact that the behavior of humans is influenced by the people living around her/him. Social manipulation exists in all kind of ways like commercials, political propaganda, a hearing of a prisoner and brainwashing.
The only way to protect yourself against these forms of manipulation is recognizing the methods. When you know someone is trying to influence you, the chance of really being influeced will decrease.
