spanish 21 or blackjack? which has better odds?

Question by Indiana FIJI: spanish 21 or blackjack? which has better odds?
i play fine blackjack. “by the books” you’d call it. i can’t count cards, but i play the best way possible. i have played spanish 21, but have never researched what it has to offer. is it in fact better than regular blackjack? i know you can double at any point, but the 10s are gone in the deck. any mathemeticians in the crowd? any general thoughts from pro gamblers? thanks.

Answer by Adam S
The house edge is about 1% higher in spanish 21 that in black jack. with the 10′s gone it is less likely to see a natural and more likely the dealer will not bust. if you have read some BJ books the basic strategy is simmlar but by using it you would increase the house edge over 1%. I hope this helps. BJ will offer you a lower house edge ; )

What does it mean when your firewall says this?

August 31, 2010 :: Posted by - admin :: Category - Blackjack

Question by jen: What does it mean when your firewall says this?
A computer at IP Address 44.254.194.108 has attempted an unsolicited connection to UDP port 1025 on your computer.
UDP port 1025 is commonly used by the “network blackjack” service or program. The “Black Jack” port is used by many services — it is the first high port available on your system.

Best answer:

Answer by Vincent
It means that the person at the IP Address mentioned is attempting to use a Back Door program to gain access through UPD Port 1025 to establish control over your computer using Black Jack services. Best to block attempt then restrict ip address from any further attempts easy to do with Nortons Internet Security.

what are pro’s/con’s of purchasing as “unlocked” cell phone vs a phone through carrier ?

August 31, 2010 :: Posted by - admin :: Category - Blackjack

Question by ayersmark@rocketmail.com: what are pro’s/con’s of purchasing as “unlocked” cell phone vs a phone through carrier ?
i currently have a samsung “Blackjack” (2 yrs old) through at+t and am looking to purchase an HTC “Fuze” (at+t version of touch pro) and i don’t know the advantages of purchasing “unlocked” HTC and maybe upgrade to a “Touch Diamond” which is not offered by at+t. My understanding is that an “unlocked” phone can be used by taking sim card out of current phone (recognized blackjack at+t) and switch into an unlocked phone and it will function just the same. (???) 1 reason for a change of cell phone is the fact that i want a new cell phone. i have also been recently having trouble with reception and i was told that the problem could be caused by an older sim card. Again, i don’t know how true that may be but if it is true, is it possible to have all information from old phone to new (old sim to new sim). And, i don’t know how to tell what is actually on the old card… for example: i can’t tell if all my “contacts” are actually on the sim card and which ones may not be on it. Is there 1 “master” button to get everything put on that sim card. i also have a mini sd card with a lot of digital stuff on it and would that card be compatible with the new phone? This is a lot to ask but i cannot get any of these yahoo’s that want to sell me a phone to give me the reassurrance that some or all of this may be possible. They just say “yes” to everything and i really don’t feel confident with any that i have encountered lately. I am trying to do as much research as i can but there are too many things that i don’t know and i don’t want to throw $$$$ out the window….the days of spending money as if i had a lot of it, have certainly come and gone. Any help from anyone out there would be greatly appreciated!! Thanks

Wow, we have a lot to cover:

Unlocked phones gives you the freedom of switching mostly to phones that your carrier (AT&T) doesn’t carry. Once a phone is unlocked, it will take any simcard, so you can buy other phones (such as the Diamond) and not be tied down with the option of phones only AT&T give you. Also having an unlocked phone, you can travel abroad and use a local carrier’s simcard for cheaper rates.

The problem with your Blackjack can easily be rectified, just call or pop into an AT&T [corporate] store and say your sim card is acting up. They will ask for your number and identification, and you should be up and running in less than 10 minutes.

I currently have a Fuze running on Windows Mobile 6.1, and I think the Blackjack runs on 6.0, but Try going to Contacts>Menu>sim manager to see what numbers are all saved to the sim. If none are there, you can go back into your contact list, press menu, and select all to move to the simcard if you wish.

Most new mid-end and high-end phones includes a MICROSD slot, not Mini SD. The HTC Diamond doesn’t have a MicroSD slot, but the Fuze does.

I say go for the Fuze directly through AT&T, which is 9 after a mail-in rebate. You can also insure the Fuze for an additional per month on your monthly bill. An unlocked Diamond would most likely cost 0 or more. The Fuze is basically a HTC Diamond with a [GREAT!!] slide-out keyboard and with AT&T logo on it.

ANY more questions, feel free to ask…

WWE having big things planned for “Husky” Harris?

August 30, 2010 :: Posted by - admin :: Category - Blackjack

Question by Dolph You Bastard :D : WWE having big things planned for “Husky” Harris?
The son of I.R.S and the grandson of “Blackjack” Mulligan, and the nephew of Barry and Kendall Windham, is expected to get a push after NXT because he is high on management and WWE officials really like the guy and they think he is the “stand-out” of all the NXT2 rookies, to me that sounds like the wanna push him to the top like at a Sheamus/Wade Barrett level. He does have the in-ring ablitity, the mic skills, and he has is own charisma, but what do you think of “Husky” Harris, the son of the I.R.S man?

What are your opinions of “Husky” Harris (Windham Rotunda)? Do you think he could be world champion material and lead us into a new generation of stars into a new era of wrestling and bypass Mike “I.R.S” and Mulligan, and quite possibly Barry Windham? (he was apart of the 4-horsemen if you dont remember)
I think that if he went with how his uncle Mulligan went like he could have taken the name “Blackjack” Harris or something lmao

I would -love- to see him propelled to great heights, not just because of his pedigree, but because he does have potential. However, why he was saddled with such a horrible, stupid ring name when everyone knows who he really is..that needs to get fixed. Also, he looks like he hasn’t seen the inside of a gym since about 2003, so he needs to tone it up. I’m honestly surprised that WWE has that big of plans as you claim since right now he doesn’t have the “look” that they generally want to go hand-in-hand with the talent.

I could see him as a solid mid-carder/bottom of the top card. IC champ, sure. Maybe a brief stint as WHC, but not anytime soon. I see him as a workhorse, and possibly one of the guys who will go down as underrated but dependable.

Blackjack “hitting/standing” question!?

August 25, 2010 :: Posted by - admin :: Category - Blackjack

Question by Ren: Blackjack “hitting/standing” question!?
Okay. So lets pretend the dealer shows an A or 10…and you have a 2-4…so u hit..and get like a 4….so u hit again..and get a 5. u have 2-4-4-5 which adds up to 15. the chart tells you to hit a 15 verse a power card. So do you hit? Or because you just got so many low cards in a row should you stand? And also…what are the guidelines u’d suggest depending on how many decks are being used. in a 6 deck game think about how many low cards are still out there to help you?

Best answer:

Answer by Greg
i would stay. chances are its gonna be a big next. but then again u could get lucky again and get a 6 or below. so it could go either way. if it was me i woulld hit it. 15 doesnt beat 20.
