Harness Horse Racing Accident 2008 Jason Bartlett Yonkers

Yonkers, NY — Jason Bartlett, leading driver at Yonkers Raceway, was injured in a second race accident on Friday night. Bartlett, driving Hurricane Mike, was unseated when the sulky broke passing the quarter-mile pole, and was subsequently run over by trailing horses and sulkies. He suffered an injury to his right leg, and was taken to Lawrence Hospital in nearby Bronxville, NY for tests and further evaluation. No further information was available as of this writing. The 27-year-old Bartlett, a native of Augusta, Maine, won his 2000th career race earlier this season. Overall in 2008, he has won 241 races and more than $2 million in purses, with 178 victories and more than $1.6 million in purses coming here. He won the evening’s first race with the favored Your Not Funny.
