slot machine audio from casino?

July 29, 2010 :: Posted by - admin :: Category - Slot Machine

Question by Thrasher: slot machine audio from casino?
I desperately need all audio for the video slot machines “Uncle Sam” and also “Tobasco”. I am making a home video, but need these audio files to edit into it. These machines can be found in Casino’s, but it would be too difficult to record the audio ‘live’. I am having serious trouble finding mp3′s or wma’s of them. Are there such sites for these 2 video slot machines? or somewhere I can get these somehow?
better yet… I called them.
I got the run-around and still didn’t get an answer.
I don’t know that email would do any better, but I’ll try it.
Thanks man!
Anyone else have any ideas?
okay… Thanks man! Nobody else is surfing here. I just give *YOU* the gold!
▀▄▀▄▀▄▀ THANK YOU ▀▄▀▄▀▄▀

Need help writing a slot machine program in C?

July 29, 2010 :: Posted by - admin :: Category - Slot Machine

Question by J: Need help writing a slot machine program in C?
I need help writing a slot machine that takes three random numbers as wheels. I can’t seem to figure out how to set payoffs for each combination (ie 3 1′s = 2x wager, 3 2′s = 4x wager etc.) Listed below is the assignment and source code. Please help!

Write a C program that “approximates” a slot machine. Here’s the general idea (I give you license to be a little creative and make this idea much better): 1.

1. Greet the user and ask him/her to enter some whole-dollar figure that will be used for wagering (this is called the_bank).
2. Ask the user how much of the_bank he/she would like to wager (in whole-dollars).
3. Ask the user to press 1 then enter to pull the lever of the slot machine (any other input produces an error msg and re-asks).
4. Pulling the lever “rolls” 3 dice at once
* Develop a payoff system (different payoffs) for three 1s, three 2s, three 3s, three 4s, three 5s, and three 6s… every other combination is a loser.
5. Add or subtract from the_bank as appropriate (depending upon if the player wins or loses).
6. Ask the player if he/she wants to play again… if so, go to 2… if not, then the game ends and your can inform the player how much money he/she won or lost (hint: you’ll need to keep track of how much money was initially deposited in the_bank).
7.If the_bank goes to 0, the game ends (inform the player).

My source code is:

#include //include statements
#include
#include

int main(void) //main

{
int the_bank = 0; //Declare variables
int wager = 0;
int wheel_1 = 0;
int wheel_2 = 0;
int wheel_3 = 0;
printf(“\n Welcome to Joe’s Slot Machine”); //Greet User State purpose Step 1
printf(“\n Enter a whole dollar amount for which you wish to use as your purse for wagering: “);
scanf(“%d”, &the_bank); //Prompt and receive bank amount //step 2
printf(“\n\n Bank is %5d \n”, the_bank); //Let user know bank Step 3

do
{

printf(“\n Enter wager: “); //Ask for and receive wager Step 4
scanf(“%d”, &wager);

the_bank = (the_bank – wager); //Subtract wager from bank Step 5

printf(“\n\n Bank is %d \n “,the_bank);
printf(“Wager is %d \n”, wager); //State bank and wager Step 6

{
int wheel_1 = 0 , wheel_2 = 0 , wheel_3 = 0 , total = 0 ; //Spin wheel Step 7
srandom( (unsigned) time(NULL) ) ;

wheel_1 = random( ) % 6 + 1 ; // Assogn wheel random values Step 8
wheel_2 = random( ) % 6 + 1 ;
wheel_3 = random( ) % 6 +1 ;
printf(“\n\n Wheel 1 : %d \n”, wheel_1 ); // Display wheel amounts Step 9
printf(” Wheel 2 : %d \n”, wheel_2 );
printf(” Wheel 3 : %d \n”, wheel_3 );
{if( (wheel_1 == wheel_2) && (wheel_2 == wheel_3) )
printf(“WINNER”);
else
printf(“Loser”);
}
}
printf(“\n Bank is: %d \n “,the_bank);

}
while(the_bank > 0); //Close loop Step 11
printf(“\n You have run out of money \n”); //Make the user cry Step 11

}

Slot Machine Myths

Slot Machine Myths

Slot machines are a popular draw in casinos around the world, and even though each country has their different varieties of slot machines, the basic notion behind them all is the same. Traditionally, slot machines are coin-operated machines with three or more reels that spin whenever a lever on the side of the machine is pulled and released. Slot machines are affectionately nicknamed “one-armed bandits” because of their one-armed appearance.

Newer variations of the machine allow players to insert cash or even paper tickets with barcodes in order to play slot machines. Some of the more recent slot machines will even have a touch screen that starts the reels spinning.

Now, on to debunking some of the more popular myths about slot machines:

The average slot machine never gets hot or cold. This is because the odds of a person hitting a winning combination of reels are determined by a random number generator that is built into the slot machine’s software. The odds never change.

Amusement with prizes (AWP) machines in Britain are the exception to this rule. These AWP machines are progressive, meaning that the chances of someone hitting a winning combination increases over time if the machine has not paid out yet. Some of these machines will also grant winning combinations if it will help the machine to meet certain payout percentages.

Though there is a logic behind where slot machines are placed out on the gambling floor, higher paying machines are not placed in areas with more traffic. Machines with similar payout percentages are put together.

The temperature of the coins inserted into the slot machine will not affect the payout received. Slot machines do not sense temperature and payout different percentages depending on the temperature of the coins used.

Using a slot club card will not affect the slot machine’s payout. The card only allows the casino to monitor how much a player gambles with and the corresponding amenities that should be granted.

In most jurisdictions, slot machines cannot have their payout percentages altered depending on the time of day or day of the week by punching in some numbers into a computer. To do this would require the replacement of parts inside of the slot machine and in many areas it would also require regulatory supervision.

Once again, British AWP machines is an exception to this rule, as these machines have percentage keys and dip switches, and changing the percentages does not require any supervision.

Contrary to popular belief, a slot machine that has not paid out in a long time is not “due to hit.” It is impossible to determine when a machine is due to hit since each spin is a random event and has no dependency on the spin before.
